Diwali Contest

Official Rules

Contest Duration. The Diwali Contest (the “Contest”) runs from 8:00 am on October 10, 2025 until 8:00 pm on October 18, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). All times refer to the local time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Eligibility. The Contest is open only to individual legal residents of Ontario who are at least eighteen years old at the time of entry (the “Entrants”). Employees of any member of Performance Auto Group, as well as their spouses, parents, siblings and children are not eligible to be Entrants. The Contest is subject to applicable laws and regulations. The Contest is void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. No purchase is necessary.
Contest Sponsor. The Contest is sponsored by AutoPlanet Group Inc. operating as Performance Auto Group (the “Sponsor”) on behalf of Classic Honda, Mazda of Brampton, Kia of Brampton, Brampton Mitsubishi, AutoPlanet Brampton, Planet Ford, Brampton North Nissan, Subaru of Brampton, Performance Honda Mayfield, Performance Hyundai Brampton, Performance Kia Mayfield, Infiniti Brampton, and Brampton Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM (the “Dealerships”).
How to Enter. There are two ways to enter the Contest. A person who is eligible to enter the Contest (an “Entrant”) may enter the Contest by:
- Purchasing, leasing or financing a motor vehicle from one of the Dealerships during the Contest Period; or
- Personally delivering to a participating dealership an original handwritten 3000-word essay on the meaning of Diwali and the impact of the Performance Auto Group’s charitable activities on the Brampton community that includes the Entrant’s name, home address, telephone number and email address. Any essays submitted will be the sole and exclusive property of the Sponsor.
  Each qualifying choice of option (a) or option (b) will be referred to as an "Entry". Each Entrant may enter the Contest only once.
Prize. The prizes in the Contest are: six 10-gram gold bars valued at approximately $1,710 each. (collectively, the "Prizes"). The winners of any of the Prizes will be referred to in these Rules as the "Winners". Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and must be accepted as awarded.
Selection of Contest Winner. At or after 12 pm on October 24, 2025, a representative of the Sponsor will select six Entries at random from all Entries. The Sponsor will contact the Entrants who submitted the selected Entries (the "Potential Winners") by phone or email to notify those Entrants of their selection as Potential Winners. Before claiming the prizes, the Potential Winners will be required to sign and return: (a) a declaration of compliance; (b) a publicity release; and (c) a waiver of liability. The Potential Winners will also be required to answer a skill-testing question. If any Potential Winner fails, within three business days, to sign and return the foregoing documents and to answer the skill-testing question, then that Potential Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and a new Potential Winner will be selected in accordance with these Rules. If twelve Potential Winners forfeit the Prizes, the Contest will be cancelled and no Winners will be selected.
Odds of Winning. The odds of winning a Prize are six divided by the number of Entries received during the Contest Period.
Agreement to Contest Rules. By entering into and participating in the Contest, each Entrant signifies that: (a) the Entrant has fully and unconditionally agreed to these Rules; (b) the Entrant will abide by, and will not attempt to challenge or appeal, the decisions of the Contest administrators, the Sponsor, the Dealerships or their respective representatives; (c) the Entrant agrees that decisions of the Contest administrators, the Sponsor, the Dealerships or their respective representatives are final on all matters relating to the Contest.
Release. By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees to release and forever discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor and each of the Dealerships, and their respective employees, agents, affiliates, directors, officers, shareholders, and each of their respective successors and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") of and from all actions, causes of action, damages, claims, debts, accounts, contracts, agreements, representations, obligations and demands for damages, loss or injury whatsoever and howsoever arising, in law or equity, that the Entrant had, now has or which the Entrant, the Entrant's heirs, executors, administrators and assigns or any of them hereafter can, shall or may have relating to the Contest, or receipt, possession, use or misuse of the Prizes.
Limitation of Liability. The Released Parties are not responsible for any errors, failures, unauthorized acts, or injury or damage to any person or property which may arise from, may be caused by or may be in any way related, in each case directly or indirectly, the Contest, an Entrant's participation in the Contest, or the Prizes.
Publicity. To the extent permissible by law, each Winner agrees that the Sponsor, the Dealership and their respective agents may use the Winner's name, likeness, photograph, opinions, hometown and province for promotional purposes, irrevocably, worldwide, in perpetuity, in any media form or manner, without further payment or consideration.
Identification of Winners. The identities of the Winners will be posted at www.performance.ca/diwali after the Winners have been selected and confirmed.
Privacy. Information collected in connection with the Contest is subject to the Sponsor's Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://www.performance.ca/privacy.htm.
