St. Catharines VW Partakes in Jitter Bug Car Show, Raises Funds for Niagara Children's Centre

St. Catharines Volkswagen has sponsored and participated in the 31st Annual June Jitter Bug Car Show, and has helped raise much-needed funds for the Niagara Children's Centre.

The event was held from June 16 to 18, 2017 at the Firemen's Park in Niagara Falls, with the main car show held on Sunday from 8 AM onwards. St. Catharines VW was the primary sponsor of the car show, and it saw attendance from over 350 new and classic Volkswagen Beetles, buses, buggies, and Golfs.

The dealership placed a prominent event tent near the entrance to the show. They showcased a total of three vehicles, including the all-new 2018 Atlas Execline equipped with the Outdoors Package, a brand new 2017 Beetle Classic custom-wrapped in Herbie the Love Bug graphics, and a completely restored 1969 Volkswagen Beetle in classic beige colour.

The three vehicles proved very popular at the car show, and drew hundreds of people to the dealership's tent throughout the event. Everyone showed immense interest in the Atlas, Volkswagen's first seven-seat SUV, and the new Herbie Beetle, and engaged the dealership's team with product presentations all day. The 1969 Beetle, on the other hand, captivated Volkswagen enthusiasts with its near-perfect condition, and was sold to a collector immediately after the show.

The dealership's team also participated in a VW rally prior to the car show, and in an engine teardown competition at the show. They also handed out official Jitter Bug plaques to owners of the best vehicles at the car show.
