Performance Chrysler Sponsors Grapes of Wrath, Helps Raise $134,000 for Wheels of Hope

Performance Chrysler has sponsored the Grapes of Wrath event in St. Catharines, and has helped raise around $134,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope program.

The event was held on June 10, 2017 at the 13th Street Winery in St. Catharines, and saw participation from over 870 people. Performance Chrysler made a direct donation to the Canadian Cancer Society to support the initiative, and also set up Performance Auto Group's tent at the event to engage with Grapes of Wrath participants.

The dealership's team set up numerous vehicle displays around the main event stage, and showcased multiple Jeeps and RAM trucks dressed up in custom Grapes of Wrath decals. Vehicles on display included brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Saharas, a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Edition, an all-new Jeep Compass North Edition, and a couple of Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 Crew Cabs.

The displays attracted a lot of public attention throughout the event, with people taking photographs and inquiring about their specs from Performance Chrysler staff throughout the day. One of the Jeep Wranglers was also placed in front of the stage at the beginning of the event, and was pushed by every team as part of their warm up exercise before heading into the obstacle course.

Grapes of Wrath is a five-kilometre long endurance course with 28 mud-filled obstacles held annually at the 13th Street Winery in St. Catharines. It raises funds for the Wheels of Hope program, which provides cancer patients with free transportation to and from doctor's appointments.

Performance Chrysler's sponsorship of Grapes of Wrath is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, which ensures that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
