Grimsby Hyundai partakes in Tragically Hip Street Festival, Raises Funds for Cancer Research

Grimsby Hyundai has participated in the Tragically Hip Street Festival in downtown Grimsby, and has raised much-needed funds for the Canadian Cancer Society by raffling out the use of a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe for a weekend.

The festival was held on August 20, 2016 to celebrate the last concert of The Tragically Hip, and saw the group's final performance broadcast live on a massive screen in the city's downtown core. Grimsby Hyundai set up an event tent in the centre of the festivities, and put a brand new Santa Fe on display to engage people and encourage donations for cancer research.

The vehicle exhibit drew a lot of public attention, and saw hundreds of people donate to participate in the raffle. Dealership staff also handed out water bottles to people, and collected donations on behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society throughout the event.

Grimsby Hyundai General Manager Mario Bruno said that the dealership has always been dedicated to serving the community, and is very proud to have raised funds for such an important cause.

"Grimsby Hyundai prides itself on being a community partner, and has always supported efforts to raise funds for charitable causes. This holds especially true for medical research, as the money raised contributes directly to saving lives. Therefore, we are very happy to have participated in a significant cultural event like the Tragically Hip Street Festival, and to have raised funds for the Canadian Cancer Society," said Mario.

Grimsby Hyundai's participation in the Tragically Hip Street Festival is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, which ensures that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
