Classic Honda has sponsored this year's Flame of Hope Golf Tournament, and has helped raise $3,000 to support local children with Type 1 diabetes.
The tournament was held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Merry-Hill Golf Club in Breslau, Ontario, and saw over 75 people attend and play charity golf. Classic Honda sponsored Hole #8 of the Red Course, and also showcased a brand new 2016 Honda Fit LX CVT at the event.
The vehicle display attracted a lot of public attention, with Classic Honda sales consultants engaging people with product presentations throughout the event.
Classic Honda General Manager Simon Aria said that the dealership has always been deeply committed to the community, and its sponsorship of the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament is part of that commitment.
"Classic Honda has always participated in efforts to raise funds for charitable causes, and is very proud to have sponsored this year's Flame of Hope. The money raised from this event will go directly towards supporting diabetic children, and will go a long way to improve their standard of living. Our sponsorship of the event will also help reinforce Performance Auto Group's dedication to serve the community," said Simon.
All proceeds from this tournament support local children with Type 1 diabetes attending Camp Discovery. The camp helps kids with Type 1 diabetes manage the disease and live an active life.
Classic Honda's sponsorship of the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, which ensures that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
