Brantford Toyota Sponsors Rotary Classic Run, Presents $1,000 to Princess Elizabeth Public School

Brantford Toyota has sponsored and participated in this year's Rotary Classic Run, and has presented a $1,000 cheque to Princess Elizabeth Public School on behalf of Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds.

The run was held at the W. Ross Macdonald School in Brantford, and saw participation from over 2,000 people. Brantford Toyota was in competition with 10 other groups in the Five-Kilometre Corporate Teams section of the run. The team, named Toyota Terminators, came in at third place and helped the Rotary Club of Brantford raise over $32,000.

Brantford Toyota General Manager Ben Cliff said his team was very proud to have participated in the run and to have raised funds for two of the city's leading charities. "The Rotary Classic Run generates much-needed funds for the Lansdowne Children's Centre and the Boys' and Girls' Club of Brantford. Both these organizations run programs and services year-round that support children with special needs, and we are very happy to have helped them in their fundraising efforts," said Ben.

The run has been held annually in the city of Brantford for the last 35 years, and has raised more than $2.5 million to-date for children in need.

Meanwhile, Brantford Toyota also presented a $1,000 cheque to Princess Elizabeth Public School to help the institution create greener learning environments for children. The amount was donated under the Toyota Evergreen Learning Program, and will be used by the school to create a better and more functional school yard.

The donation was handed over by Ben Cliff to Principal Gale Ash at a Community Greening Ceremony held at the school yard. The event marked the completion of a 10-year-long fundraising project to raise capital for new school grounds, and saw staff plant a maple tree to kick off the yard's transformation.

Brantford Toyota's sponsorship of this year's Rotary Classic Run and presentation of the $1,000 cheque to Princess Elizabeth Public School is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, which ensures that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
