Performance Auto Group's sponsorship and support of The Rotary Club of Bolton and Rotary Ribfest has enabled St. Michael's Catholic Secondary School and the ACT Foundation of Canada to train 750 grade nine students in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Over 10 years, 7,500 students will be trained beginning in the second term of the school year in 2016. Performance Auto Group's support will allow for every student to be trained.
St. Michael's Catholic Secondary School is the third and final school in Caledon to implement this training, and by doing so, they are encouraging youth in their school community to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
"It is the goal of the Rotary Club of Bolton to see all youth in Caledon graduate with the skills and knowledge to save lives," shared Scott Fraser, Director Community Services, Rotary Club of Bolton.
The sponsorship is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, to ensure that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
