Bolton Honda has held its annual Ride for Autism event in partnership with the Lost Boyz Riding Club of the GTA, and has helped raise $8,990 for Kerry's Place Autism Services.
The event was held on Sunday, June 26, 2016, and saw over 300 people attend to help raise funds for families living with autism. The day was organized by Bolton Honda General Sales Manager Chris Holmes and Sales and Leasing Consultant Rhonda Robertson with the help of Lost Boyz members.
Numerous activities were held during the day to entertain people and encourage donations, including live motorcycle stunt shows performed by professionals, charity bike washes, and a full obstacle course. Other activities included a silent auction, raffle draws for hundreds of donated prizes, a live on-site DJ, bouncy castles for children, and ten different food and ice cream trucks.
Chris said that Bolton Honda has always been committed to serving its surrounding communities, and is proud to have raised funds for a charity like Kerry's Place. "This is the third time that Bolton Honda has hosted the Ride for Autism, and we intend to hold the event annually. Our aim is to not only raise funds for organizations like Kerry's Place, but to also continuously raise awareness about autism. Families living with autism need everyone's support, and events like Ride for Autism go a long way to highlight this fact," he said. Chris also thanked the Lost Boyz Riding Club for making the event successful.
Bolton Honda's organization of the Ride for Autism event is a part of Performance Auto Group's Drive Change initiative, which ensures that our organization gives back visibly to the communities which we serve.
